ABOUT ARONIABUTIKEN

Why are we called Aroniabutiken? – Because we started as an importer of the world’s finest Aronia, the one from Aroniada. It was sold through a few therapists and passionate health food stores, with Hälsokraft in Saltsjöbaden as the first and foremost retailer.

But we often received requests from individuals around the country who wanted it. Many times it was part of an alternative treatment of some kind, for example for cancer or burnout. We did no marketing at all.

Aronia is not very easy to get hold of in Sweden, especially not of our quality. So it was time to set up a webshop for our customers around the country.“And why not also offer other dietary supplements that customers demand” – was the idea. This was in 2019. From there it grew, although we are still a small company. Now we have a couple of our own agencies – besides Aronia – water filters from Instapure.

We offer a curated range of health foods and supplements. We handpick what we like, from suppliers we like and who have good values. With long experience in the industry, we know what’s good and what we can recommend. We test all the products we sell. Many of the suppliers, such as Helhetshälsa, we have worked with for many years and have a long relationship with. We are completely free in which products we choose. Unlike Life, for example, we do not accept money for exposing certain products.

WHAT’S SPECIAL ABOUT OUR CHOKEBERRY?

Our Bulgarian Aronia – where it all began.

Aroniabutiken are importers of Aroniada’s aronia, probably the world’s finest. What makes it so unique?

Aroniada is a craft-oriented family business with a long tradition of growing and making various products from aronia. They have developed their own unique pressing technique, which uses cold pressing to extract maximum nutrition from the fresh berries. Importantly, the berries are pressed immediately after harvest – so no time is wasted and the berries do not need to be frozen for transportation (other aronia products are usually made from frozen berries that come from many different growers and are transported frozen to a factory). Aroniada can also harvest the berries at their peak of ripeness when nutrition is at a maximum, as you only have a few minutes from bush to press.

In the Bulgarian countryside, located in southern latitudes, the climate is sunny and warm. This means that the berries get a lot of sun and have time to reach high ripeness and concentration. This is why our aronia is more flavorful and less acidic. It is neither sweetened nor flavored in any way. Nor is it diluted. In the bottle there is only 100% pure aronia juice, no preservatives, no additives.

It is completely organic. The land where it is grown has never been sprayed or fertilized.

Virtually all scientific research on polyphenols using aronia as a polyphenol source has been done on it, as it is considered to have a high and stable content of the beneficial polyphenols.

Aronia is said to be Europe’s own superberry. In Eastern Europe, Germany and Russia, it has long been used for a variety of ailments. Its positive effects on the cardiovascular system are well known.

We are Aroniada’s importers and representatives in Scandinavia since 2014.

Our Swedish chokeberry

In 2021, we became a retailer for Tranängen Aronia. A family business with a long history that had now started growing Aronia on a smaller scale. Of course we want to support Swedish, locally produced and small-scale! The juice and products are also very high quality. We have a close cooperation with Tranängen.

They grow their Aronia in Åhus in Skåne. They then rent a muster house where the juice is made. No middlemen. High quality, honest production. They do not use any pesticides even though the juice is not organic.

Instapure water filter

In 2020, we became importers of Instapure water treatment. It has been a huge success. We wanted to sell a filter system that is easy to use and purifies effectively, for an affordable price so that everyone can start purifying their water. A people filter!
