Tuna in olive oil with ginger 120 g – Santa Catarina
Tuna fillet with ginger and olive oil from Santa Catarina and Grøndals. Bonito tuna fished with rod and line in the Atlantic Ocean off the Azores and processed according to ancient craft traditions and packed in BPA-free cans.
Aronia store’s taste impression: The seasoning with ginger is reminiscent of Japanese cuisine, but we find the flavoring extremely mild. The ginger tone is not so prominent. If you want it to be more Japanese, we recommend spicing it up a bit with soy, maybe extra ginger or some mayonnaise. Of course, you can use it in another way, “Mediterranean”, preferably with a little extra sea salt. It is a mild preserve with a nice and tender tuna. No predatory fishing, no dolphins caught in any nets.
A tin like this is incredibly handy to have at home! A healthy and protein-rich lunch when you’re short on time, or a Mediterranean-inspired dinner? Good to have at home as a “prepper” preserve. In other countries, you always have it at home, because it’s tasty, practical and healthy, but also as provisions in case something happens. We can no longer rely on authority and it is smart to have a stock of canned food at home. Canned food has a long shelf life, often well beyond its expiry date.
Good preserves are hard to come by in Sweden. We at Aroniabutiken are pleased to present a range of truly fine Southern European preserves made in the traditional way with high quality ingredients. We eat them everyday and we always make sure to have a stock at home.
