NAC Complex Pureness 60 capsules
NAC is the stable form of cysteine, a non-essential sulphur-containing amino acid. NAC boosts the body’s own production of our most powerful antioxidant – glutathione – which is needed and increases when the body needs to defend or detoxify itself.
NAC has been used as a supplement since the 1960s. Why is NAC used?
– Considered to increase the level of the body’s own antioxidant glutathione, which in turn can have various positive effects on the immune system, cardiovascular health, the brain, etc.
– Has been used for a long time by bodybuilders for recovery and other purposes.
– Important for detoxification processes and has long been used for those with various types of poisoning or exposure to chemicals or molds. Used to protect the liver in acute acetaminophen/paracetamol poisoning.
– It is thought to help regulate levels of neurotransmitters in the brain, thus helping to treat addiction, bipolar disorder, depression, etc.
– Considered to be able to relieve respiratory problems (e.g. after covid infection).
– May contribute to better fertility.
– Has been shown in studies to balance blood sugar and protect insulin receptors.
– Healthy levels of glutathione help our brain function and cognition, while low levels can put the immune system out of action.
NAC also helps dissolve the tough mucus that forms in the lungs during pneumonia or in cystic fibrosis patients. Awake and informed doctors in the US therefore used NAC on their Covid patients with great success in the spring of 2020 as it made breathing easier and increased the survival rate of patients. An American doctor who received and treated many severely ill Covid patients, Dr. Roger Seheult, explained that he also took 600mg NAC twice a day throughout the season while treating Covid patients to avoid becoming infected and ill himself.
NAC must also be available in all hospitals as it is the first emergency drug in case of, for example, Tylenol poisoning. If used early, it has a high chance of saving the patient’s life and preventing severe liver damage – even in cases of alcohol poisoning. NAC is also used to treat alcohol, drug and substance dependence.
If NAC works by increasing the body’s production of glutathione, can’t you take glutathione directly instead? The answer is that glutathione is more difficult to absorb orally and is most effective if given intravenously or in liposomal form, whereas NAC is excellent to take in capsule form, especially as here in combination with R-alpha-lipoic acid, another powerful antioxidant.
