Lion’s Mane is originally the English name for the fungus known as Igelkottssvamp (Latin: Hericium erinaceum). It is a type of thorn fungus that grows on trees. The mushroom grows like a hanging mane and is white to yellow-white in color. It is protected in Sweden, but it is abundant in Asia where it is sold both fresh and dried.
