Sencha is the most common type of green tea in Japan.
There are many varieties of sencha, depending on where it is grown and how it is produced.
This tea is quite mild. The color is light yellow to light green. It can be drunk both hot and cold, but most often it is drunk hot.
It is not flavored in any way, as it should be! It is otherwise difficult to find real Japanese tea in Sweden.
Green tea is mildly refreshing. We at Aroniabutiken drink it instead of coffee. The stimulating effect is milder. Green tea is also considered to have the ability to make us calm and harmonious, as the substance L-theanine makes us alert but relaxed.
