Heather honey 500gr – Nordic Bee
The heather honey comes as the name says from the forest heather. For four days in August, it is required that it is 24 degrees four days in a row. Otherwise there is no heather. In some seasons, the supply of heather honey can be almost non-existent.
Obtaining heather honey means a very large workload for the beekeeper. The honey requires special equipment. Ordinary slunging does not go far enough. There is light heather with a lower percentage of heather, but this is not one of them.
Heather honey is mineral-rich and healthy. Its anti-bacterial effect is on a par with manuka and buckwheat honey. Fine raw honey has a very good effect on the bacterial flora of the stomach, which the cheaper diluted varieties do not have. Honey is also good for digestion and has many other positive effects on health.
The color is orange-brown, slightly darker than “regular” honey. The taste is round and rich.
Unpasteurized honey from lands rich in heather.
